182 lower cambelt cover removal

Morning All,

nearly finished the rebuild of my 182 engine following a belt failure.

noticed that the lower cover is cracked and it seems like these are now hard to get hold of.

The manual states that the cover has to be fitted before the Aux belt pulley. but I can't see why (at least my broken cover seems to fit afterward ok).

I want to get the engine in the car this weekend, as I won't get another chance for a few weeks. so I plan to glue mine back together as best I can and replace it later.

Can anyone confirm if this cover can be removed and fitted when it's in the car without having to take off the Aux pulley, and hopefully upper covers?

Thanks.
