182 mani on a 172 - big job?

Car  clio 172
Is this a 4-5 hour job? Any idea of cost to fit at a local garage? I know many people say this isnt really worth it, and if fitting will be expencive i'll bin the plan.
Cheers

Never done it myself but looking at the car i cant see it being any more than a subframe removal? Which isnt really the biggest job in the world.

Subframe removal or engine out.

If you need cambelt done its worth removing engine and taking it somewhere to be done as it'll be parts plus an hours labour then just switch over manifolds while its out.

Also an excuse to do new gearbox oil and coolant.

Ive asked this before. General concensious is its not really worth the hassle over expense

I did ours while I had the head off anyway which made it easy, without doing that way though you'd need to drop the subframe I would think, not the end of the world but still into the realms of getting expensive at a garage.

But the real question is are there any real life gains to be had here? I know its a question asked a million times but im currently on the fence over this myself.

Going from a 172 mani with genuine ph1 twin barrel cat and ktec stealth to a 182 mani, decat and yozza stealth gained me 3bhp iirc, can't remember the torque but overall I can't say it feels any different at all, only did it as I snapped my cat!
