I phoned the dealer and they got a set of the £18 jobs in the next day, they look just the ticket.
I emailed carmats4u and got a phone call back from some woman with poor customer service skills (I think is the polite way of putting it). She was trying to tell me that it was my fault and I had ordered the wrong mats. She said I must have a Mk3 clio as this model came out in 2004
and it was my fault as I had ordered for a 2005 clio. I also didn't notify them within 48 hours of the problem as stated on the invoice (which is b****cks, they can't over rule my consumer rights). "In this case they would make an exception" and send me a replacement drivers mat for a Mk2.....which is still an appauling fit. I'm going to try returning them tomorrow....I suspect it will be a lot of grief and possibly a trading standards job
