182 prices at dealers

Seems like no-one is very willing to budge an ince on the prices of 182's at the moment, with dealers offering insulting p/ex prices and not at all willing to discuss the price of the 182. I've missed out on three black 182's this week and am now considering a Titanium Silver April 05 plate with 10k miles, CUP suspension and what looks like Cup Spoilers too)the salesman wasn't sure but the photo looks like it has to me).

The car is priced at £10995. The dealer has had the car a little while and reduced the price from £11695. Am i being unrealistic in thinking that the value of the car is nearer to £10k than £11k?

Then go buy private! Best way to get a good deal.

Personally I'm glad the dealers are holding onto those prices, already owning a Clio I don't want them to drop lower as then selling mine private would be even worse!

Have a look in the trader .. and on piston heads .. loads of 182's on there for less than £10k ..

i would go private but i have a car to part-ex and i wouldnt feel happy selling it to someone knowing that there's potentially a few things wrong with it. whereas i'd have a clearer conscience giving it to a dealer and let them sort out the niggles with it

there all trying to screw people because they know that soon the prices will go down, once that new clio sport is out! personally i wont pay that money for a 182 as much as i like them, ill wait until there alot cheaper!

it is a bummer atm for me aswell im of the brink of getting a 182 but i dont really wanna spend a fortune when soon there drop when the new cliosports comes out.

£13000 for a liquid yellow 182 i dont fecking think so! not when it wont be anymore than £10000 after a year!

The prices of 182's will drop whether there is a new clio RS model out or not , but imo the new mk3 RS won't affect the price of 182's much if any because its a completely different car , not like when they updated from the 172 to the 182 which was basically the same car revamped a little .
Personally i much prefer the shape of the 182 over the mk3 and when i want a change i'll be lookin at a completely different marque next time if the new mk3 RS is all thats on offer and i'm sure other people will do the same .

Get it sold on autotrader , once its gone its the new owners problem , just worry about the problems you'll have when you get your 182 lol

If it makes it an easier decision for you I'll tell you this. The dealer WON'T sort out the problems on your car. They will fix anything glaringly obvious to the average buyer and that's it. If there's something nasty waiting to go wrong, then someone will buy it from the dealer and it will go wrong.

Just sell it private and buy one private. I'm never buying second hand from a dealer ever again.

There's nothing nasty to go wrong with my car, it just has a few 'common' niggles that Vauxhall have been unable to fix, even though the car is under warranty.

I sold my 172 private on autotrader in February for £5900 a dealer offered me £4000 , i said are you havin a laugh and told em to forget it . If you can sell private do it ,you'll have alot more cash for your new motor
