182 rear number plate bulb-playing up

noticed the other night it had turnt of whilst driving so tapped the lens and the light came back on,then sometimes when i start the car up in the eves it seems to work then dosnt? anyone know the cure? cheers.

Have you tried a new bulb yet??

mate more than likely the bulb has gone or on its way out. I work in electrics and lighting and if u tap a low voltage spot light they will come on and it works the same with these. but if i was u i'd change the bulb if it still plays up it sounds to me like the lamp holder is slightly dodgey.

yeah it was the bulb mate its all sorted now!
