182 stalk and display adapter

Hi!

I'm just ordering some stereo bits for my 182 and needed to check that the bits i am ordering will be ok. I've fitted a few of these but that was years ago.

Autoleads parts:
PC99-X12A - This should be the interface box that goes to the extra connector next to the ISO blocks for a 2005 182?! Should interface with both steering wheen control and dash top display?

Then obviously the appropriate harness for the make of stereo i'm using?

Similar topic, i presume there is plenty of depth behind the standard speakers to fit decent ones without the glass hitting them?

Your top radio display will not work if you cahange to the headunit.

Should be enough room for most make of speaker to clear the window.

Ok after a bit of research i have come to a few conclusions:

To retail the standard display and stalks you must use a connects2 adapter, this costs about £60 however only works with compatible sony head units, which IMO aren't that great.

The autoleads interface is about £35 all in and does the steering wheel only, i went for one of these as i have ordered a decent pioneer unit to go with it.

i always get my stuff from caraudiosecurity, never had any problems.
will let you know how it all goes when it's fitted in the next few days, to verify that i have ordered the correct lead.

Where abouts are you mate - would be interested in more info as i am having a pigs ear trying to find cables for my Blaupunkt. Blaupunkt sent me some leads and still they get it wrong!!!

Near tunbridge wells, middle of a field basically! When i worked in car audio i had no end of problems with blaupunkt adapters, that was when someone else was ordering parts. I spoke to blaupunkt about it and they sorted the right part next day! Got the model numbers of the parts you bought?

Should join together to allow a blaupunkt to use the steering controls in a trophy.

Although i'd suggest waiting till i've fitted my autoleads system to check it's compatible.
