182 Starter motor wire :(

E

My starter motor wire keeps coming off on the top selinoid on my 182.

Iv had tis problem for about 6months now and i keep having new connectors put onto the wire but it still keeps coming off. I gave up in the end and had a garage take the starter motor off and weld the wire to the connection on the motor BUT as usual a month later and pop it has come off again.
This problem is getting silly now and im getting to the point where i just want to get rid of the car.

The only thing i can think that is causing this problem is the fact that i have KTR uprated engine mounts all round and a polyflex dog bone mount, this could be causing to much vibration and causing the wire to come off :S ??!!

Has anyone else had this problem and can some one please give me a magic cure to stop this happening before i go chuk the car in my near by lake.

Cheers

Ed

Does the started motor have the heat shield on it? If it doesnt then perhaps the heat from the mainfold is playing a part in the cable coming off.

bump on this.. I have some issues too with the start up, interesting that I also have the ktr engine mounts plus the poly dog bone thing in there and was curious if you managed to sort it out by now. I'll check the wire soon, btw, is it hard to reach?
