182 steering wheel

Quick question:

Do the steering wheels vary in the 182's?
I have seen most have the little plastic piece at the bottom whereas my missus' does not and is just wheel (it's not missing).

The cup's only got the steering wheels out of a Dynamique, whereas the FF got a slightly better one.
