182 throttle body on 197

Am i right in thinking the 182 throttle bodies fit 197s?

I'm learning to work the CNC millers at work so thought id bore out a TB to 84mm to get some practice in.

Can anyone confirm/deny

84mm!!!?? lol, the external of them is 70mm

yes they're the same. Really wouldn't bother with it though, all you're doing is making the light throttle control less accurate.

I just had a 64mm throttle body fitted tonight and i feel the difference throttle feels sharper and there's much less of a flat spot if any in my 200 now. But each to there own

Jenvey did some experimenting and found that 44mm was the point at which a single throttle body becomes restrictive on a 270bhp touring car engine.

anything bigger than that made no appreciable difference to power output.
