182 trophy exhaust setup

does anyone have a diagram of the exhaust set up for the trophy. i need a new downpipe and new cat as the joint broke so i got a quick fix with a flexipipe but sounds as tho its time is up

i know its going to cripple me but how much would it roughly be?

trophys don´t have a downpipe, its just manifold->cat->mid section->rear silencer...

What exactly has happened to it? I thought mine had rusted through but it was just the cups on the fitting kit. It was around £570 for a new manifold when I enquired in 2009.

Ok maybe I was tarring all owners with the same brush, but it seems to happen an awful lot on cliotrophy.co.uk, especially in the forsale section you see "trophy airbox" "trophy exhaust" "trophy windscreen wipers" etc

Would have been cheaper to buy a trophy and spray it black Trophy groupy alert. I can't talk, i've got turinis and trendlines on mine. If only I have a trophy exhaust system to complete it :rasp:

Well not at the time I bought the car, the price difference was mental! Plus I wouldnt have all the toys like xenons and climate control, which imo are worth more than the exclusivity of the red paint and sideskirt decals!

well i took it into exhaust place 6month ago and was under it and the the joint between manifold and cat the lug had broke off so kinda knew tht it would need a new manifold, so as a quick fix we chopped a part of the manifold and cat and welded a flexipipe in.

time to get a new cat and manifold

called renault hq today and he looked into it....

he got back to me and said that they buy the cat at trade price which is 1500 and dealerships slap another 600 onto it. how can they justify that i need manifold and cat for 182. im guessing most small engineer garages wouldnt touch this with a barge pole as the engine needs to be moved?

which is why u can sell the parts of them to nut brains for more money, ive broken countless 182's and blagged that the bits r off a trophy out come a extra £30- £50 quid LOL
