If i dont get a 197 then i well be thinking of upgrading a few bits on my 182ff

http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=1359

and

KTR ECU REMAP
Model
Original PS
Tuned PS
Original NM
Tuned NM

Don't forget the brakes! yozzasport has some good setups so does gdi. The air filter didnt seem to make much difference to me. Maybe a little more grunt thats it

i just replaced the brakes but they are all standard!!

Used renault parts because of warranry but its soon to be out of warranty

Good choice of mods, but to be honest unless you go down the throttle bodie route the remap wont make much difference but if you concentrate on the suspension and brakes then it will be much better on the road and track for hard braking and handling corners better, as for the exhaust will just sound much better and be much better made than the standard one

AHD

i would like to make it a bit faster, but on a 1000 pound budget

(this is rob182 just on my g/f laptop!!!)

The difference will be very marginal. I'd even say 195PS for the remap is a little optimistic. You may gain half a second up to a ton.

I have these exact mods, plus a KTR/Janspeed sports cat. The car was bought with these mods so can't really compare to original spec but I am happy with the performance. It doesn't feel that much quicker than 182's I have been in though so not sure I would plump up for those mods myself.
I also have pro line springs to keep it flatter in the corners - that is worth the cost. Std brakes feel well up to it, may upgrade when it is time to change but not essential as I am not tracking it.
The best value mods in my opinion are weight loss (normally the car!) and improved driver skill through some tuittion on track. Straight line speed isn't directly proportional to a car that is quick on everyday roads. If however that you are just in to racing between Tescos and KFC then what I am saying is probably of no interest.... ;)

Jon's right. These mods will be barely noticeable, and all in will cost nearly a grand. If Rob is hell bent on more power, his cheapest option [in the long run] will be spending 5k+ on TB's, stand alone ecu, cams, and a warranty from the reputable tuner who fits them.
