182 - What a Car!!!!

Picked up my new 182 couple of days ago, titanium silver, Cup Packs and have had a smile on my face ever since.

Doing my best to keep below the 3500rpm during the running in but it is not easy. I had one of the original 172s in 2000 and the improvements Renault have made since then are superb. Handles better, sounds better, looks better and is built better...what more can I ask..

are you going to/ do renault suggest changing oil when run in, is it 600miles?

if so what do people use Elf fully synthetic?

Whats this about oil at 600 miles?

cos its a new car, they only use semi synthetic oil which will burn away easily, so it would be advisable to top up the oil after 600, i used gtx magnetec.

Sounds like you 182 owners are feeling just like us Cup owners.

The 182 must have that X factor as well.

I think everyone to has taken a peek have all said the same thing...the wheels set the car off..having the cup suspension is a must...have seen a couple without and the lighter alloys just dont look as good (in my opinion anyway..and of course I am bias).

Do you use the chart on the trip computer to test it for oil?

forgot to ask does the 182 have a red light rev limiter warning too like the 172 had, the immobiliser light doubles up as it? (adjustable?)

its a small green gearstick shaped light in the bottom right hand side of the dash display, comes on at around 7k

when i test drove a 182 its sounds a lot quieter than my 172 b4 i put a viper induction kit on? ne1 else think soo?

yes, down the right hand side of the display there are lots of lights and the one at the bottom is in the shape of a gearstick and lights up green when you need to change up.
