197 brakes question...

when i park up my 197 at railway station or overnight at home and go to use car say 7/8 hours later i am finding brakes are sticking, what i mean is let hand brake go, try to reverse and there is resistance, then it frees up, what is causing this?

The handbrake on mine sticks in the wet sometimes mate...take it out and give it a good booting to get the brakes up to temp, usually sorts mine out..

it's normal, but it normally takes 3 or 4 days before doing that. The brake discs rust slightly and cause the pads to stick to them.
When you go on holiday or something, Leave the handbrake off and the car in 1st

This happens to my Cup, but only if left overnight when it has been raining. If the atmosphere is dry I don't have any issues.

My 172 Cup (different brakes I know) used to do this. I just park it in gear rather than on the handbrake now - problem solved!

My megane does the same thing its the same brake setup they just seem to be prone to binding when its wet.
