197 brembo brakes problem

Hi got a friend who has a clio 197 but his brake pin has seized on or in as renault have told him.
Is there anyway of fixing this? Also is there any one towards newark way that would be good for a visit on the brakes an a service 24k.

the pins are an effing nightmare loads of people have had this problem, summat like £40 for a new set i beleive

your just gonna have to force them out using a punch and a hammer and get some new ones as once seized they tend to bend in the middle trying to get them out.

as for services recommend fred at BTM in brum if your mates willing to travel

Yup. I'd recommend whipping them out overy 6 months for a clean up etc to stop this happening

mine were stuck yesterday, i used masses of brake cleaner, used a blow torch to head the caliper a bit (not a lot) and be careful as brake cleaner is flammable lol. Then i used an extension bar as a punch. And a lump hammer.

Took about an hour per caliper to get them out clean and greese them, change pads etc. :O

Just got my friend to get booked in with k-tec instead an possibly have some other bits done too.
Also could the brakes have gone like this because tit needle ragged it around a track? Any other problems he might need to look out for?
