197 head on 172 bottom end...

Anyone had much performance gains from putting a 197 head on a 172 bottom end?

Just thinking at the minute as some throttles have come up for sale...

Be worth pm'ing chipmk1 or MikewoodfordMST. Both are on here and I believe they have played around with the 197/172/182 combo's.

The 197 head looses compression on an OEM bottom end. 197 pistons in a 172 bottom end would bring the comp ratio back up however.
