Thanks. What do they do compared to standard and what sort of gains would you expect?
Is anything available yet/anyone working on it?
Only found this and it sounds mean!

Cant remember where I found these, looking good though!
that was the ITB conversion that I worked on at Omex.
It made 33lf ft more and 30bhp midrange and was really nice to drive compared to stock.
we did a load of testing at the time to determine the intake lengths etc...
to achieve an intake length that didnt loose torque was essential and meant curving the inlets over the engine as in the pics.

I dont knwo much about ITBS but surely the enclosed airbox on top with the induction type filter would restrict the flow to the trumpets severely?:S
engine harmonics.... well worth a read...
the engine sees different tuned lengths depending on where the butterfly valve is.
I see this ITB'd 197 quite regurally... Its in racing blue, lives around Ilkeston iirc
So noone is selling a DIY kit of any sort yet?
Anyone had the DTH set from AT?
I run the DTH on my 172, with Managment done by Jamsport.
Might be worth giving them a bell, as they will be more than happy to sort fitting etc i imagine. They did for mine
Ktec when r u going to be doing a 197 ITB kit or SC or Turbo with the GEN128?
Dont you just leave the standard ECU in place for that sort of thing?
Or is that just on the 172? Its how mine is....
Not for a bit I would guess!!
ALOT more work than 1*2s

The 197 is lots more complicated than the 172
May be a stupid question but why?!
And all of these K-tec ECU's with different gens, where are they on the website?
so is KTR-Sport a seperate motorsport company rather than being a tuning company for raod going vehicles?

Must admit that I had no idea about this even though I buy the majority of all my things from K-tec. Would not hurt bussines to be a bit clearer about this on the K-tec website IMO.
