Is anything available yet/anyone working on it?

Only found this and it sounds mean!

Thanks. What do they do compared to standard and what sort of gains would you expect?

  Megane 225 F1
Basically give each cyclender (correct me if im wrong) its own throttle body instead of sharing one between the 4. Thus more air intake and then some magic stuff happens that im sure someone technical will explain to you

Sounds like mine TBH! But I just have one big TB ;)

SC conv is being binned by the lad having it done as Omex have blown his car up twice now so he says! Shame TBH cos it would be immense!

that was the ITB conversion that I worked on at Omex.

It made 33lf ft more and 30bhp midrange and was really nice to drive compared to stock.

we did a load of testing at the time to determine the intake lengths etc...

to achieve an intake length that didnt loose torque was essential and meant curving the inlets over the engine as in the pics.

Cant help wonder what the same type of inlet would give with the stock single TB. Would not be suprised if figures were about the same TBH.

I dont knwo much about ITBS but surely the enclosed airbox on top with the induction type filter would restrict the flow to the trumpets severely?:S

Not so sure about that. Longer intake length gives more torque if Ive not got it all wrong. So its all about finding the sweetspot really.

engine harmonics.... well worth a read...

the engine sees different tuned lengths depending on where the butterfly valve is.

The airbox is specifically designed to "play" with the harmonics of the engine to increase torque..

I guess that a stock inlet have a very well calculated length for a single TB?

Can you describe how it changes?

Yeh yeh but I mean someone like ktec who sell diy itbs for 1*2s with preprogrammed omex. Then u just need to get it mapped when it's all fitted.

I run the DTH on my 172, with Managment done by Jamsport.

Might be worth giving them a bell, as they will be more than happy to sort fitting etc i imagine. They did for mine :)

You will also then have other issues such as your dash not working properly as the aftermarket ecu cannot control it. This will be where our GEN128 ecu will come into its own.

Turbo and S/c conversion will happen first as it keeps the FBW throttle. Last thing I heard on the ITB was that it MAY happen.

Dont you just leave the standard ECU in place for that sort of thing?

Or is that just on the 172? Its how mine is....

we dont leave that in place either on the 172, The GEN90 replaces it. piggybacking works but carries its own extra costs.

so is KTR-Sport a seperate motorsport company rather than being a tuning company for raod going vehicles?

Must admit that I had no idea about this even though I buy the majority of all my things from K-tec. Would not hurt bussines to be a bit clearer about this on the K-tec website IMO.

You've got to bear in mind that they spend all day every day looking after out lot's cars. Looking after CS'ers cars is probably a full time business in itself. They probably haven't got round to updating the website yet due to time constraints.
The brochure was only finished and released just before Autosport, that was less than 2 weeks ago.

my understanding (and i'm sure David will correct me on the detail) is that KTRsport is a branch of the company, but promoting a more serious performance bias, without changing the focus of the original company

Our new site is BRAND NEW so although we have launched the brand and product range it takes time to bring everything upto date.

we look after a massive range of customers and products and are fully booked in the workshop as well as constantly developing new products.

keep an eye out for some revisions soon

Andy
