The 197s seem to consistantly be making their power, but there have been reports of some low miles ones that haven't. It's not like not making book power would be a new thing for a RenaultSport Clio however.
I'm not sure what the power to weight comment meant, do you dislike all RS Clios? It has 164 - same as a 182, more than a 172, less than a 172 Cup, 170 iirc. But it does have a lot more safety gubbins etc, which is unfortunately the way it goes these days. People want to see a 5 star car, but a 5 star car is a heavy car. Hence why it has more power to compensate for that. Yet it still managed to have brilliant handling and stopping power.
Anyway, that's not what this thread is about. You're not even a paid member, have you signed up just to troll and try and cause arguments, with your lack of knowledge and made up facts?
I feel I should point out as well, in my post up there it mentions the 197, with the old box, has a top speed acheived at 7,074rpm - I can confirm you can get over that, closer 7,300rpm on the flat hehe, and I bet it would hit the limiter downhill
