Is anyone still suffering from the squeaky/creaky seat issue?

The sound is like springs creaking and seems to come from the base of the seat.

Interestingly I'm finding that if I pump the Recaro up a little higher it seems to almost disappear. I like to sit the chair as low as it will go, but it creaks loads more like this.....

I'm getting my mate (who works for Renault) to have a look this weekend so I'll post anything we find.

If anyone else has any contributions to make to this, please feel free to add to this thread as this is a really frustrating problem.

is there a thread on RS discussing this issue? there seems to be a few different seat related issue threads. i've had no issues with mine creaking/wearing etc in 5500 miles

Yes I've read that thread but there's nothing in the thread which indicates how people have resolved the problem, hence the reason for me raising it again.
