197 supercharger

Supercharged Clio 197

Shortly our 197 cup is being treated to a supercharger conversion all designed and built by us in house. Our aim is to give the 197 that little extra that it lacks over its bigger brother the Megane 225.
The aim of this conversion is to deliver fast road car that can also be used as a reliable daily driver. A practical factory type fit is on top of the agenda as usual for us here at BBPT and will certainly take the Clio 197 to a new driving dimension!
Power figures are expected to be around 250 BHP with torque increased substantially throughout the rev range.
 
trust me if ktec finally do it, they will do it properly and put 250bhp back in the stone age where it belongs.
 
i'd be happy to sell my pug diesel and buy a supercharger kit? :)

oh and btw, superchargers are more reliable then turbo kits, correct ?

and power troughout the rev range?
 
I can't believe people would even consider spending £4000 on a Clio engine.

Just buy a faster car!

I can understand filters/remaps etc, but £4000 on a charger that will void 99% of your warranty just sounds a bit dumb.
 
if someones got 4k lying around the house why not?
it's their (my) money...
Never understood these coments - why spend money on a clio bla bla...

because I want the perfect handling of the clio and megane power (or more powerfull). And the looks.Everyone can buy a turbo and boost it up :clown:
 
I dont think it's just the power figure luring me in, there's a certain stealth factor involved here. Looks like a normal 197, goes like a "hold on where did it go" PLUS there wont be another scooby driver on the road

and if someone started a project thread about supercharged 197 - ???

I don't see similar coments about turboed and tb'd 172/182, hybrids etc, why is that? And there's a bunch of them who spent a shed load of money...like the guy with the yellow/green cage (sorry cant remember the username) in his black clio.

So to Daniel and people of similar thoughts - Relax, it's not your money :cool::)
 
'chargers sounds gash anyway, like Scotland said.

I'd much rather use the £4k to upgrade to a slightly older R26 with a remap.

Worth a wee search? I sure i read some horrific feedback from them.

Who said the r26 handles better! It's a tank! R27 was wayyy more nimble and fun imo.

I was 10 tenths around cadwell and the 197 was supreme! Would have it over the R26 anyday!
 
Anyone can go out and buy a ''quicker car'', thats boring. Making a car go quicker is the element of suprise.

Yes its expensive to mod but then its not going to be free
 
Its cos he's cool, and its my old car ;). A reliable SC 197 would be a right weapon!!! mmmmmmmm
 
you boys behave.......!!! Its because if i spend all my money on the car i have non to buy a house with the bird!! lol!!

The cups a legend, i can't sell it!!
