197 with 2 years no claims bonus?

i know theres one of these every day with 'will i get insured on this' will i get 'insured on that' ...but im saving hard now for the next car.
currently driving a 1.2 16v ph2 clio, nice car and dnt mind driving it, my 1st year no claims bonus will be up in januray.
thort i mite try the whole go compare.com insure quote to see if i cud insured with 1 year no claims, ermmmm 5000? third party, f**k that!
you reckon they wud insure me for a reasonable price with 2 years ncb?
by the time that comes up i shud have around 10000 for both the car and the insurance so wud be useful to see if im lookin at the right next car?

everytime ive used those stupid "confused.com" or "comparethemarket.com" etc etc, its been a load of bullsh*t! confused.com quoted me £2700 on my 197 at 20 with no ncb, and the other comparison sites were every similar price wise, got a quote through churchill for £1400 and grabbed it straight away. id shop around through the companies them selfs personaly or private insurance brookers in your area, comparison sites are a waste of time imo

Elephant, Admiral would be who I would look to before a compare the market site.

Insurance on a 197 will be less than a 1*2 due to insurance groups as well.

mate my first year insurance as 17 year old after passing, 2300 on my 1.2 clio
i wanted to cry, luckily i did the pass plus so got 500 back. this year it should be around 900 - 1200?
hopefully but would have no chance insuring it on 1 year ncb would i as an 18 year old?

Im 20 with 3 years ncb, and the cheapest i can get a 182 for is £1800 fully comp. The usual bell or adrian flux have always been good for me. Failing that, like mentioned above elephant or admiral.

im doing exactly the same as you m8 saving as hard as i can to get a 197 r27 but i only have to get to may next year to get my 2 years no claims. the best qoute iv had is 2k fully comp and ill be 20, 2 days after getting my no claims as well lol

Im 20 3years ncb. Atm i pay 1300 fully comp on my 182 (im a student aswell

If you can afford the insurance that’s great. Just remember that running a 197 will be massively more expensive than your p2.

Not just on petrol tax and insurance, but on servicing and tyres etc. it will be at least double what you are paying now.

Im not trying to rain on the idea. Its just there have been a few people on here over time that have done similar and then sell soon due to the costs of running it

Im with Privilege. Was 21 when I took the policy out on my 172, fully comp with 1 year NCB, mum named driver, was 890. Thought that was pretty good. The compare sites were quoting me 1800+!

yeye its just i reckon with me be only just 18 years old there gonna sting me so gna wait til 2 year no claims. i dnt mind the running costs because i dont have many other expensises in my life at the momement and would just love the experience.
