Hello there chaps, i have a Clio 172 cup which i have owned for a month or so and i love it!
It seems to be knocking as i change gear especially in 1st & 2nd gear. I'm aware of some common faults with these Clio's.
Anyway, i went to Renault and they want alot of money to replace the dog bone mount, i am expecting this to solve the problem.
Does anyone know a specialist to me who could do this "fix" at a more reasonable price? Could you confirm that this is definitely the problem?
On a side note i have read that some Clio's have had the cam-belt replaced incorrectly, causing timing issues. Is this correct?
How would i check that mine has been fitted correctly?
Thank you.
