1st service on 182

Ang

  Pink/Blue 182

yep….they only took £2 off for the oil…..well they said the £200 estimate was a bit low that was given to me over the phone…..the guy who had given it to me was new (how convenient) couldn’t argue with the invoice though….other than the huge cost of labour everything else was relatively inexpensive.

I supplied them with Mobil 1…….cant believe some garages do it them selves anyway….the garage I went to said they would have put 10w40 in mine if I hadnt supplied my own….bloody glad I supplied it now !

The tw*ts put in 0w40 mobile1 oil instead of the 5w40 stuff - told them their error and the service guy fobbed me off saying that the oil they put in is better then the standard stuff recommended in the service book
Depends where/how your driving it, saying its just better is b****cks.

Im seriously thinking of not bothering with reno again for a service, especially with all this about the oil. 0w40 ?? 5w40 ??? 10w40 ???

Would rather have a garage I know really well do it.

At least I will drive away knowing full well that a top job has been done, there isnt even a check sheet to show you what they have checked. You just have to cross your fingers and hope they have checked it!!

At the end of the day its a 140 mph car !!

a pic of the scratch, how bad is it?

something to not look forward to the first service.
It was only a tiny scratch and scuff - size of a 50p…but damage never the less! Was hoping they would get it done in a couple of hours but I was told it would take a couple of days!!..bumper off job .

I really hate leaving my pride and joy there..i have nightmares of them taking it out for a quick spin – giving her a quick rag down the street….just the thought of someone else driving her runs a shiver down my spine:cry:

O well will get her back tomorrow

Why do all the dealers not know about this??? Its obvious my car should have had 5w40 in instead of the 10w40 premier stuff

Checked my air filter last night and it has been changed.

However , there was a small patch of oil on the drive from a few days ago so I had a look underneath and guess what ... no plastic oil cap underneath the sump plug .. ... it doesnt seem to be leaking though.

I know its only a small thing but its pis*ed me off all the same! .. especially after handing over £194

plastic oil cap? where do i find this?

Its not actually connected to the sump plug itself. Its a part of the the plastic cover underneath the engine. You twist it off so you can get access to the sump plug without having to take off the whole cover.

Got to ring back next week to see if its turned up?!?
