2 modems on one asdl line

My wireless network doesn't reach far enough into my house to give me a good signal in my bedroom (2nd floor, wireless transmitter is on the ground floor) I have a phone socket in my room though and a spare modem so can i use that??

dont think so, you'd be better off relocating the router to a more central part of the house

No, 2 modems will not train up on one line.

Wireless or get a router and wire it.

Just get a repeater/bridge and chuck it on level one.. all you need is a spare mains socket.

personally i've just installed the solwise products for somebody with a 3 storey house and i was hoping for some good results, but tbh i really won't be bothering with it again.

yes it's convenient, but that's about the only good thing going for it.

i used to have 2 adsl modems running on the same line before I got a router about 2 years ago now.

I had to unplug one modem to get the other one to work was a pain in the arse really.

so then you didn't have 2 modems running on 1 line.

you had 1 running on the line at any one time
