20 3 years experience no no claims no one will touch me who are you all insured with?

as above im 20 years old have 3 years driving experience no no claims due to being a named driver on another policy and i cant find anyone to insure me on a ph2 172!?
gettin really annoyed with this now so give us a clue? who are you insured with and how much?

please help!

yeah i already bought it and am insured now through swinton all dandy paying £1700 3pt&f i had a 1 years no claims bonus as a named driver through cis insurance
swinton asked me to bring proof of my no claims bonus so i did... and they say oh we cant except this and they wouldnt tell me why for some fuckin stupid reason now im £170 out of pocket for the deposit i paid which they will NOT refund and ive been insured for 1 week only cant stress how annoyed i am right now

If you are out of pocket surely they have to give you a reason why they wont accept your no claims ?

Was it earned on an accelerator policy ? (10 months)

i said this and they just came up with a load of bullshit
the no claims was earned on a 12 month policy

If you are out of pocket surely they have to give you a reason why they wont accept your no claims ?

Was it earned on an accelerator policy ? (10 months)

Won't earn NCB as you were a named driver, probably not the person who the policy was actually with.

Had an issue with mine I had been on a fleet policy for 6 years so technically had no, no claims bonus. Brentacre were one of the only companies who were decent enough to actually honour the 6 years. Done it for other people I know in similar situations as well.

Some companies offer "Named Driver" no claims but are only to be used with that company i.e. you must stick with them.

Bell or Admiral all day long, be sure to RING ! Website quotes are s**te, unless on their OWN website.

Last year i was 20 with 1 yrs ncb and was 1100 now im 21 with 2 yrs ncb and its 675 iirc. Bell. Both Fully comp.

See your big problem is you are under 21 and have engine mods. That straight away limits you. A large portion of insurance companies will not allow under 21's to have modifications. Some are over 25's only with mods. So having an ITB'd Clio at 20, with 0 no claims is not something they are going to want to insure.

Its the no claims which hurt, a lot of the modified scheme's require some NCB/experience driving similar power in my experience.

This is a b!tch when this happens, I knew a kid when we was both 20 who had a LCR got denied all insurance and had to flog it, really hope this don't have to happen with yourself! Have you tried Sky Insurance who are on here under the traders section?

The real issue as already mentioned is the age and modifications, not many commercial companies touch any people with modded cars, you really need to talk to a specialist, tried having a look in the back of say, Fast Car? They have many insurance companies who could be worth a call..

Can I just point out the idiocy of buying a heavily modified Clio and then trying to work out what insurance will be on your own policy (IE not an illegally fronted policy!)?

So, you bought a 200bhp tb'd clio at 20 ... & are surprised that people wont insure you.

If you have named drivers on your Direct Line car insurance policy, you (and they) will be pleased to know that we have become the first major insurance company in the UK to offer Named Driver No Claims Discounts.

This means that when we provide your named drivers with a quote for Direct Line car insurance, we’ll recognise every year they haven’t made a claim on your policy.

The no claims discount earned by named drivers can be used against a Direct Line policy of their own in the future. However, it may not be recognised by other insurers.

I'm assuming you were with Direct LIne who give named drivers no-claims - if you stay with them for your own policy. As you're under 25, they wont insure modified cars, so you switched. Now cant get insurance & you failed to read the T&C's.

im 22 with 4 years protected no claims and my insurance is £650 with direct line. (£80 of that was to protect the NCB)

not looking good mate, I checked the insurance waaaaay before I grabbed the trophy I mean even third party isnt an option for you as theres nothing between tpft and full comp money wise these days!.

i'm 23 3ncb for £540 and i'm looking at the same price again but with 4 years protected ncb.

just thought id let you all no i got insurance all sorted out gave admiral a call and they were great help! managed to get insured fully comp for £1600 on a 10 month excelerator policy i no some people mentioned you cant carry no claims bonus with an excelerator policy but aslong as i stick with admiral il be fine!

Ive just had a quote off brentcre, just less than 2 grand on my 182 engine converstion. 19, 1 year NCB and the worst possible postcode you can imagin so im rather happy
