2000 plate 1.2 MTV edition

Random question but does anyone know if the standard headunit in a 1.2 MTV edition was of better quality than the phase 1 172 standard headunit. Reason I'm asking is that I'm burrowing someone's MTV edition clio and the sound quality sounds is much better (crisper, clearer, louder) than my 172. Both have completly standard stereo equipment.

probably just come with uprated speakers as standard. the MTV version was the upgraded audio version like the iMusic for the MK3's.
