2003 clio 172 with 176,000 miles!!

Sorry if this is wrong area guys, just seen advertised a clio 172 cup in blue for sale on internet with 176,000 miles on!!

Price was £1200.

How many miles are these engines actually good for??

We service a 52 plate 172 every 6 months, its done over 200k

It's quite possibly in better shape than a low mileage motor of the same age. Once the engine is warm there's very minimal wear compared to a cold start.

With that many miles it'll have spent a lot of time at operating temp I'd imagine whereas a low miler might've only been driven to the shops and back, never getting warmed up.

115k here and running sweeter than my old Clio 182 which was on 45k

The F4R loves high mileage mine is on 139k now. I would have easily hit 200k if it was still a daily driver.

Just be mindful of other perishable items. Bushes, pipes etc
