Why do you want to finance £450 insurance ?

Because £450 is alot of money to some people to pay off in one lump sum.

Cant believe Tesco was one of the dearest, ive been with them now for 4 or 5 years and they are always cheapest.

Good insurance info for those thinking of buying a 182.

Thanks

if i crashed the car, ie my own fault. Worst case i would lose 2 years ncb. You are allowed 2 claims in a year before it affects your ncb, but you still have to declare it.

I think its a con really as when you declare it, they stiff you or not. Could run a quote with an 'accident' with 5 yrs ncb, and 3yrs ncb and see what the difference is.

If it was fault, then i think i should lose ncb.

Shows that insurance is different for all types of areas and age groups. Apparently i live in a group A area, but parents live in a group F area (which is bad).

not to mention i live on a raf base, so need to get past an armed guard to get to the car.

My insurers have never asked for a copy of my NCD. Do you think if you got a shitter car, left it on the drive and insured it with "10 years NCD", 3rd party, £1000 excess, 1000 miles a year, garaged etc.

Then when that's up, you'd get your renewal quote with "11 years NCD on it"...

Would that work ??

Iirc it's 2 claims in 3 years with most insurers ;)

The insurance companies are a lot more clued up than you might think... The renewal schedule is the proof of NCB that they ask for ;)
