Ive already had a look on mtyres, Conti Sport Contact II, will set me back £136!!!

Surely there must be somewhere else.... ? (otherwise Ill never get to do a track day )

Thats the main reason I got rid of my V6 Mundaneo and picked up a Cup...with a car that weighs 1,400+ kgs Id have been looking at around £600 in tyres for each and every trackday

cant you get some smaller wheels for trackdays or will it bugger up the handling too much.

try calling a place called micheldiever tyres, they usually are the cheapest you will find.

might do a deal for 2 or 4 as well.

Yoko Parada or AVS sport are about £113 on mytyres.

Now I need to think about whether to go for P Zero Rossos, Sport Contact II, Pilot Sport II or Potenze RE050...

Bloke at wprk has a FRS and i looked on mytyres for some replacements for him. they ranged from 100-132, hes currently got Michelins on and they cost 132 quid, nasty. And i balked at paying £63 for a Conti

Dont Renaultsport go to a lot of trouble to get the best tyres for these cars? Just using something else that is cheaper and looks pretty seems to be wrong to me.

The tyres are not cheap but then its not a cheap car, so people buying these cars should do their homework before hand.

Think of the warrany issues also. If something goes wrong you might end up putting a set of "proper" tyres on the car to avoid a row with the dealer.

If your thinking of doing some track days why not buy a few sets of proper tyres from a supplier, they may do you a better deal on a bulk purchase.

At least on a Megane you get the opportunity to swap fronts and rears around. James is right though - on a FWD car youre going to kill a pair of fronts in a (track)day - I bought a big pile of Contisports when I first got my 172. Its a shame to own one of these cars and miss out on trackdays just for the want of a few tyres.

You can swap the fronts to back on a V6. OK so it wont handle very well and it will look a bit mad, but doesnt it already
