225 Engined 197

That's the car that Renault should have made in the first place!!

Agreed that the other colours are awesome... Not a fan of RB IMO..
 
Nah nor me. I love it on 182's but it doesn't work on the mk3 imo.

Yellow is for women only.
 
I'm assuming that because everything just bolts straight in that these offer the same reliability as the Megane?

I'd love one when the kids are a bit bigger. Would make the horrific mpg of the 197/200 worthwhile!
 
doesnt seem like 2 minutes since i was the first person to do a 225 conversion in a Clio. It was three Years back now. Such a great and cheap conversion :)

I think ill find another one to do :)

Surely yours involved a lot more work than the plug and play mk3?!
 
fair bit i expect. box from the megane is a massive lump. not sure what boxes they use.

edit see they use the megane box must be tight.
 
if you can find a 197 with a nakered gearbox or engine and a megane thats had a rear end shunt, put them together, sell the spares and i think your on to a winner with a great project to boot.
