2nd Amp

Im gonna be wiring up my 2nd amp in a couple of days. Ive currently got an amp running subs in my car, could i:

1) use the same power cable for both, just split it in the boot?

2) use the same fuse in the fuse holder?

3) use the the same remote on cable, just split it in the boot?

Thats what I did...

No doubt you will be told by a stereo guru that its not 100% perfect but it will be fine!

Remote wire should be ok.

May need to up the rating on the fuse

What gauge cable are you running? What are the amps ratings?

im using 8 gauge cable.

the amp thats already in is 2ch 800watt, and the one im adding is 4ch 600watt

I would seriously consider upping it to 4 gauge, do you have the gain on the amps turned up very high?

4awg cable to boot, then split via distribution block to 8awg

remote can be split just by splitting the cable

shouldnt need to uprate the fuse if you use a distribution block
