ok so looking at around 500, fort they were cheaper than that!!maybe ill opt for a 28incher then!

Your joking right?? thats a bargain for a brand spanking new decent LCD with HD. Maybe if you think thats expensive then maybe check ebay for something second hand.

Just abit of advice for anyone who hasn't a clue about HD TV's.
When buying a LCD TV always look for:

*The Highest Contrast Ratio... This will give you better Blacks/Whites in Darker - Lighter scenes and make the picture look better.

*The Lowest Response Time... This will make the bluring effect "less" noticeable, when images are moving fast arcross the screen. Most Lcd TV's of late are around 8ms.

*HD-Ready... There are 3 different connections for HD: 1 is "HDMI". This use's the more preferred connection to most High-Def equipment and carries Digital Video and Audio. The second is "DVI". This is a Digital connection for Video ONLY and the Audio is Analogue. The Audio is brought through your Composite Cable i.e. Red/White Audio cable. The last one is "Component". This is what the Xbox 360 use's and is a 3 split cable (simular to the normal Composite cable Yellow, White & Red). The Component cable use's Red, Green & Blue for Picture and you use the normal Yellow and Red cable to get the Audio. This connection is Analogue for Picture & Sound...

*Connectivity... Always look for a TV with "HDMI" and "Component" Connections and try to get one with the most HDMI Sockets. I think Samsung are at the moment selling some of there LCD TV's with either 2 or even 3 HDMI Sockets.

& Finally

*1080p... This is what alot of "newer" LCD TV's have. If you are buying a TV and are looking at Future Proofing for a couple of years, then try and get a TV with this. Your Blu-Ray/HD DVD Will look much nicer on your brand new TV.

Hope that helps?.
