just got a phone call 698.32 and at the mo they cant find the knocking noise coming from back left side wheel suspension is leaking can anyone tell me if this is a warrenty issue

ok well, just had a phone call from the man down at reno doing my 182's service, said the cost would be 698,


the car has a leaking suspension which doesnt come under warrenty blah blah blah, also has a loud banging noise when it goes over speed bumps coming from the left rear wheel, is the suspension fully covered by warrenty >

hmmm no that they do a great job down there had a few bits replaced new fogs, spillter refixed, and aux belt changed, but the worry is the suspension ????????

Ype new shocks if there leaking are warently job.

£698 to change a strut? I had a leaking strut, it cost less than £100 to change!

£100 to chnage one thats a rip off new shock are £50 then no more than an hour to change if your very slow.

thanks fred me thinks you can do it for me next time some thing about the aux belt taking time and replacing the shock, fog lights splitter etc

you could have a full camblet and auxbelt change and you could hire yoz for a few hours to "entertain" you for that money!

My shocker went on my car glad i have great mates who work at Renault breakers they dont cost much though

Does it just make a knocking noise when you hit a bump, especially if u hit a bump when your going round a corner?

the knocking noise is probably the faulty shock absorber. is it the same side as the knock?
also shock absorbers are only covered depending on age and mileage, but are hard to get under warranty , ask them to ask customer services for help , you never know your luck.

service cost 540 in the end got the shock done on warrenty she feels really tight now so minus the fog and splitter repair service would of cost abut 440 better than 700 this morning

crikey, the labour costs from renault alone cost £61 more than I charge for a 36k.
