4-wheel alignment: £75 + VAT

Just been quoted this by local garage for my 172... seems expensive to me but havent checked ATS etc. The MOT guy detected some uneven tyre wear and suggested tracking.

Theyre not just any old garage (Prosport in Stockport - scooby specialists really) and will certainly do a good job, still... any opinions on that price?

  Weeman sucks ****

My wheel alignment and tracking only cost me 20 quid when I had my lowering springs fitted. That was with stapletons. Hope this helps?

that sounds a bit high to me south west tyres did the front for me for £25 all in. so for wheels should be 45 50 quid?

There taking the fecking piss m8..

Elite motorsport charge £35 for all four wheels / laser aligned, toe, camber, castor - the lot! I hate it when garages think they can bend you over like that.

  20VT Clio & 9-5 HOT

almost as good value as hill power wanting £120 + vat to fit a manifold lol

p.s i paid £25 for 4 wheel laser alignment!

Thought so - ATS quote £26 but not sure if comparing like with like.

Incidentally, £160 + VAT (4 hours) to fit front disks/pads and Eibach springs... bit steep as well?

Thats not too bad, Renault gave me £67+VAT x3 for discs all round but BB tuning do springs for £40.

I paid £25 at my local Kwik Fit, they did a tidy job. This includes a free check in a months time to make sure it is still ok.

mine was 20.00 plus vat (23.50) for 4 wheel laser alignment, i thought that was a bagain.

watch out though as some places only do the front & charge more !
(elite on the a13 in dagenham were one of the places 35.00 inc vat, but only the front)
