421 cams

Read lots about 421 cams not able to be mapped via standard ecu.
Why is this?
Is it because you can't get them to idle correctly or is it something to do with it further up the Rev range?
The reason I ask is that they are better top end and is a dedicated track car so a high idle won't be a problem for me to be honest.

why would you not be able to have them mapped on standard ecu?

You can get 421's to work with the standard ECU.
