Mine was with the 18-55 kit lens, counting down the days until my first prime. I actually think I cheated a little bit and the image has come out at 48mm but I'm letting myself off.

So were in the same boat then. And having a D40 is kinda restrictive as well but oh well i'm gonna go have a snap about. I'm sure it would be a problem if we out by 2mm.

Now that's confusing me Claire (and probably only me ), there's clearly two hands in the shot and neither of them are holding a camera! It looks like you're holding a mirror, but it may well be a polaroid? Too bright to be a polaroid I think. Or then again the camera could be on a self timer? OR is it photoshopped.. I just don't know. I like it anyway lol.

Yeah think you're right. I'm going for photoshopped also, something about the bottom right corner doesn't quite seem right. Certainly caused a discussion anyway.

Popped to Bluewater this eve and was going to take a nice shot through the trees (covered in lights) looking at the centre, but my amnesia kicked in and .. well I've forgotten where I'm going with this.

While I remember Greg, the Canon fit is nearly always on special offer over on talkphotography, might be able to save yourself a bit.
