51 reg V6 for sale

I've noticed a Clio V6 for sale at a local used car dealer. The price he is asking is £9,995. Silver blue 22,000 miles. Is this in your opinion a fair asking price? What should I look for when I view? Sorry if this kind of question is covered elsewhere (if so please reply with link).

yeah seems a decent price. Think Clio GB looked at it. Check it has had its camblet done as it is quite costly.

guys, don't do this, I'm tempted enough as it is. There's a nice Mars Red MK2 on pistonheads for 15k also.

Adtimits, no, it's in Derbyshire and thank you, I will check that out about the belt. Also, I didn't realise - there are MK1 and MK2 versions of the V6 then?

Dash, yes, I agree but I was impressed by the relatively low mileage of the one near me (less than the average 6,000 miles pa but your's is over twice that).

sh33n, yes, I fully appreciate that concern, it's one I share! Still there's no harm in looking I suppose. I phoned him today and he said the car was away getting a new tyre fitted(????). I'm going to have a look tomorrow lunchtime.

V6 Mk1 230BHP 17" Wheels
V6 Mk2 255BHP 18" Wheels, much nicer interior, better car to drive by all accounts also. I'm hopefully getting one.

Thanks Gareth. So the one I've seen is a MK1 and presumably they were all silver and the MK2s were in blue? Sorry for the history lesson perhaps there's elsewhere I could surf around look for a more in depth look?

majority of mk1s were silver yes, but were available in Red and possibly a couple of other colours but VERY rare. MK2s are Silver, Red, Black, Blue, Acid, Yellow quite a few.

The Autotrader website gives a few more details - accident damage! (The Orchard Garage one) And the pictures are old ones ie not how it looks now at the dealership. I will be avoiding it.

There are some others though near me I think are worth a look - I particularly like the HTC one but the private one in Nottingham also looks VERY interesting and it's only down the road from where I live. Emmm decisions, decisions!
