53 reg Clio Head Unit

Hi,
I am looking for a new Head Unit as a Christmas Present for my sister.
I do not know much about cars etc so Im relying on you gurus

Basically, she has a 53 reg clio 1.2 and the standard head unit.

How difficult is it to fit a new one?
Can anyone give me the size of head unit im after? I want it to fit (if they are one size this will make me look like an idiot lol :rasp

I have about £120-£150

Ipod compatible if possible and it MUST be compatible with the control column by the steering wheel.

Any reccomendations?

you could probably get a much nicer headunit with a handheld remote control for much less,

I bought one on here for £50 JVC MP3 One, Looks much more than it costs,

If you give me a PM i will give you the member's PM ask him and he might be able to sort you out,

Why not buy CD Player and some 6*9's/rear components?!

you will need an adaptor to run it with the standard steering stalk.

i tend to stick to Pioneer as ive only had good results with them over the last couple of years in my own car and other peoples cars that ive done.

im sure renault changed the interface on Phase3 cars and you cant get an adaptor for the steering stalk, or that was the case at the time anyway. think 53 could be ph2 or ph3 depends what dials it has (needles for petrol or temperature means ph2, digital screen means ph3)
