6 Speakers - 4 Channel Amp

  Audi TTS S Tronic
Hey guys!

Just a quick question that has left me thinking a lot!

I am looking in to wiring 4 door speakers and 2 6x9s in to a 4 channel amp and this is the wiring diagram that I have come up with

Is this correct?

On another note, I currently have a 2 channel amplifier. Could I wire a door speaker and 1 6x9 to each channel at all?

Thanks for your help guys!

(The amp I have currently is a http://www.audioassault.co.uk/Amps/Two_Channel_Amps/Juice_JA490_Amp)

If you have both amps, why not run the 4 door speakers via the 4 chan and the 2 x 6x9 with the 2 chan?

Diagram looks a bit confusing.. but I think you will be seriously overloading it which will cause it to sound rubbish IMO..

You could always leave the rears out of the equation? Rears do jack anyways!

Darren, how would I go about that if I only have 1 RCA out from my Head Unit?

I was told that most amps nowadays could happily accomodate more than 1 speaker per channel?

Lol @ Ben! Although, nice car :)!

when u put more than 1 speaker through a channel doesnt the Ohms change so instead of being 4 they become 6 , so that means the amp has to work harder , increasing the chance of the amp burning out ?

Bin the 6x9's and just use the front comps. with a sub bridged.

This is the best start for most sound systems.

if the speakers are 4 ohms and the amp is 2 ohm stable then you can connect 2 speakers to 1 channel

Thanks for the replies guys

Dink is on the same brain wave as me. I'm not going to just get rid of some speakers that my dad purchased for me for £50...

I wanted to connect 2 speakers to each 1 channel and I believe that the amplifier is 2 ohm stable but just wanted to check that my set up I posted was okay

Can split the RCA output and use HPF and LPF filters on the amps to get low and high freq audio (if required)..

Dink is correct with what he says also.. but make sure you check..
