6x9 Query

basically ive been given some sony 6x9 speakers (pair of) but the only problem is theyve been up in the loft for a good year and probably been beaten around abit.

is there any way i can test them to make sure they work before i fit them?

an also where would i pick the feed up from for the speakers (eg rear speaker? splice into cable somewhere etc)??

any ideas??

Plug them into where the rear speaker cable for the rear speakers is

If you want to test them you can use the front speakers, just pop the grill off and unscrew the speaker. Although the fronts might have a connector on which connect them to the original speaker.

The rear ones, the plastic speaker grill clips off. Although not just the grill like the front, just follow the plastic and you'll see where it joins.

But I warn you, some of the lower spec 1.2 mk2 ph1's dont even come with rear speaker wiring, let alone rear speakers. In my old car I had to run some wires myself, but to test the 6x9;s you can basically run them from any speaker wire in the car, front, rear whatever, just touch connect them, its not going to shock you.
