70k :(

  Rb 182
Now on 70k but she passed her MOT this morning, no problems at all. Also my 5 door passed the day before, again no problems, probably the best £400 car ever!

Going to keep the 72 for another year, tidy a few paintwork issues up.

Happy :)

Good news though mate, whats next after the 172 then?

Not sure, i fancy a V6. But i really dont know. I'm just sorting out a "toy" just now so that'll be somthing to waste my money on.

But as for the Clio, im thinking poss a cup spoiler?!?!?

Im trying to hold off the miles atm, speedo's reading (as of Sat, i havent used it since then) 131,499 (iirc lol, could be 133,499 my memorys useless atm)

Nope, still original box, original clutch, engines never been apart at all, in fact i have all the history and the major compnents that have been replaced are:

Alternator (covered under warranty)
n/s driveshaft ( due to me not seeing a split boot - fecked cv joint)
exhaust (obviously lol - its a Clio)
ICV

apart from that all the usual consumables, its had 2 sets of brakes on the front, im about to replace the rears ( on its 2nd set) and engine mounts, i think iv missed a few but the point im going towards is no its lasting well lol

Oh and with just a blueflame exhaust on (no other mods) it clocked 141 bhp @ the wheels, 173.3 @ the fly, with 149 lb ft of torque. Pretty good i think, as there were two other ph1's on at the time with 60 ish k miles and both ran lower than mine

I let it warm up and cool down, it gets serviced every 6k, but apart from that it gets driven hard at times, iv done 2 track days at Combe, and also the airfield day last weekend, did fairly well there, out of 43 cars i would have come 6th if i had stopped by the stop board correctly lol

One of the nicer ph1's for sure. No need for ph2 bits, other than the lights imo.

My 07 plate Astra is on 47k.... still on all original pads/discs and nothing major replaced apart from rear dampers :)

thats a nice car you got! it will be a youngtimer soon :) so I'd stop modding it if I were you, I'd even put the ph1 taillights back on, but thats just my op,

in 2 or 3 years time nothing will let it keep the value up like the "kept in original condition" mark,

the bullets should go back to silver 4sure, the taillights aint bad but please dont put the ph2 rear bumper, looks ugly...

nice car anyway, I love the ph1 172's so much

Thanks mate, the bullets were not silver on the Ph1 they were black with silver writing. I prefer the colour coded look though.
