8v / 16v?

is there a significant power difference? that can be noticed easily?

Yes, although the 8v seems to have more torque lower down the revs, the 16v will accelerate much better

Nothing wrong with the 8v if its been broken in proper! not that im jealous....

had 8v punto and lower down the revs was equal with my mates punto sporting (16v) but mid to high range he would pull away

I had a 1.2 8v for 4years and loved it, whenever I got a courtesy car it was the 16v version and I couldn't wait to get mine back!

would i be right in saying the 16v only runs 8 until 4k rpm then engages the other 8?

probably the reason for the simmilar performace from low down
