911 & XJS spring wash

Had nothing to do today so decided a quick wash of the cars was in order. Jag hasn't been done for a year at a guess so was a bit dusty and definitely due.
Passed the MOT a few weeks ago, 8633 miles total (700 miles in the last 11 years), hoping to hit 9k this year! It's going into a local specialist next month for some long overdue work on the brakes which are now a little dangerous, a slight weep on the gearbox and a proper service and look over, want to get it as reliable as possible and use the bloody thing!

Starting to enjoy the Porsche a little bit more but still desperate for some more power so can't see it being around too much longer, love how it looks but just not enough drama.

I've had it valued by 4Star Classics and also Hexagon, only real reason was so I could get a decent agreed value on the insurance policy for it by proving the value. It could be worth a million quid but will always be in my garage, but being covered properly was the main thing just in case.

I guess luckily for me it's not a hugely loved car so shouldn't really be too much of a target for thieves, nothing like along the same lines as an E type etc.

I want to use it more. It's needed a bit of work for the last few years so I've never quite trusted it to go too far from home, but hopefully planning a few longer runs to enjoy it in the summer too.
Plus it's only been kept at my house for the last 6ish months, so with it running and right and in my garage it's easier to use it for the odd commute to work etc so it will see a few more miles.

Bit of a revival but not worth a new thread really. Went out in the car for about 50 miles today since the weather has been really nice. No radio on around some routes I normally do on my bike, not really realised how nice the views were when going 2/3 times as fast with a lid on.

Pulled up at home and noticed the milage, and then a quick interior picture since the roof was off and looking nice. Forgot to get any others but it still looks the same apart from sparkling clean!

Love this car so much. I was watching a chap on YT who had a Mec SL600 as hes car that he used when he was in the south of France, this car would be perfect for driving around the SOF with the roof down. :hearteyes:
