A 182 On Finance

  Black Clio 182
i went into renault yesturday and we talked about the money side of paying for a 182. i will be getting it on finance as i cant afford to pay it all at once but i was wondering what sort of deals you people have got.

my gf has got a 206 sport which cost 10k and she is paying around £190 a month for 3 years with the option to buy it at the end of the 3 years.

renault said i could pay around £200-£250 a month for 4-5 years for a 182 but i wasnt to sure as 4 years is a long time. that was with a deposit of around £1000. problem being its 9.9apr

if you dont mind saying what do you people pay a month on your 182/172?

You need to speak to your Renault Dealer about Used Car Selections. This is similar to the Peugeot Passport scheme that your other half is on.
This scheme is now available up to 43 months so will keep your payments down.
Got to say that this is a great way to buy your car as you can trade it in towards the end of your agreement and not loose loads of money. On the downside, if you hand the vehicle back, it has to be standard. So any mods that you do need to be reversible. Good luck. If you have any probs, let me know and I'll see what we can get sorted down in cornwall.

I took out a car loan from capital bank, am paying 190 a month for 4 years. Its for a 172 though, and btw, no deposit upfront, so all in all is good.

You should look to borrow from a bank / loans company if you can. Usually better rate & you do not get hit the the 43rd rule (I think this is the name of it) where they load all the interest at the start of the agreement on to the loan so if you do want to clear it early you can owe more than you borrowed in the 1st place :(. Look for a loan with no early payback fee & where interest is caculated on your o/s amount only. Most banks / buliding societys do it. Make sure that you check the small print.

You'll get a much lower interest rate from a bank.

But usually it's front loaded interest and my car loan isn't (altough a slightly higher apr).

On a side note, I'd wait for the RS-3 if you intend to get a loan for one. A 182 is worth 2 mars bars second hand atm. When the new RS Clio comes out it'll be worth a penny chew.

I got my 182 on 0% finance with 35% deposit. I pay £266 per month, But if were in your shoes I would consider the above ^^^^ and wait for the Mark 3, or buy yourself a used 172 in the meanwhile, as it would have lost the Bulk of its value from new.
N.B Tesco loans are very good, and you can choose to pay back how you like e.g 38 months instead of 36 for example

I'll have a bag full then.

Get a car loan & buy a second hand one.

Let someone else take the deprecation.................

  172 Cup
I just bought a 2nd hand 172 Cup for £7995. £250ish deposit then £170ish p/m over 5 years finance set up throught the garage and then through black horse. I do end up paying back a whooping £10,500 in the end, but you can't help falling in love now can you :)

Its great when the salesman takes you over to the finance manager. You might as well pull down your trousers and bend over.

Go to the bank.

My sister works for a car company in their finance department. Her advice is to go to the bank! Car finance companies are a rip off.

I put down 35% deposit for my 182 so Renault gave me 0%apr over 3 years. I pay around £250 a month which im pretty happy with, unfortunately the insurance is another £100 a month!
