Weekend update,
Managed to get the tyres on yesterday.

Tyres really are great, no real lack of traction even when forcing it.
Went for a good blast today round some icy roads safe to say the car was bogging so gave it a wee cleaning and finally centred the exhaust.

Much improved!

Off for a good old drink now thanks for reading.

Been a quiet winter mate, once the weather picks up though.......

Update time.
Not much has happened over the dark miserable winter.....well apart from the paint deciding it didn't want to stay on the front wheels so a refurb is imminent.

I reckon a bright bright silver with heavy flake but I'm open to suggestions?

However as the weather has brightened I decided to give it a good once over after all it was looking sorry for itself so cracked on and even gave the underside a bit of attention.

Still cleans up well but is in need of a going over with DA but can wait till I have time.
MOT has been done and for the first time I've had a car go through with no advisories!

Really is sorted this wee thing however while it was in I got the brake fluid swapped out and ATE fluid put in and then oil and filter swapped out for piece of mind.

Next plans are refurb the wheels
Swap back to ad08r's
Then LSD......
With my new job starting next week and my commute dropping to 8 miles round trip i should be able to keep it squeaky clean.

Gutted about the wheels mate. Check the receipts as they came with a warranty - I got them done at the wheel specialist in Fareham. It may even be worth an email and see what they say. Glad you're still enjoying it though!

I'll have a check mate but tbh it will be easier just to get them done at chameleon up here, get them powder coated just need to see some good quality pics of what I'm after but think I'll stick with silver. Seems fresh

Aha too right,
Goodyear ultra grips but now the temp is up they are scrubbing about like mad, should be called ultra slips so will be buying two new ad08r for the front to replace the mismatched tyres it was wearing when I got it

alright, no real updates as such chasing an electrical fualt (uch) i reckon and aside from that just keeping it clean mate

No major updates to this, finally sorted the electrical issue with a uch/ECU/key swap so there's now no faults electrically or mechanically with it now. Have just taken delivery of a new golf GTi just weighing up keeping it or selling either way updates soon ?
