A few mods and a full detail!

I decided over the last couple of weeks that I didnt want the in your face roar of an induction kit and wanted to fucus purely on performance, so with a remap coming up in the next few weeks I re-fitted the standard airbox but combined it with a pipercross panel filter.

While I was doing that I thought i'd have a go at removing the accoustic valve ready for a cold air feed system im working on. It was suprisingly easy to do, so much so that I ended up doing another one later on (aye Willie) ;)

Was suprised how much of a difference it made, it pulls much harder and smoother now.

With the weather being good I thought id treat the car to a full wash and detail, it looked so good after i'd finished that I took a few pics.

Enjoy.

It stiffens up the front end, dont have the money for coilovers yet. It does make a bit of a difference in the twisties. ;)

Thanks guys

The wheels were done in a dark anthracite with gold calipers ( didnt want to go black ) yeah I done the engine cover myself, was really easy to do aswel, just plastikote primer and spray paint just make sure you sand it down well.

Looking good fella,

how'd it go removing the acoustic valve? F*ck on or easy as sin?? I've heard about doing this few times but never looked into it myself

It was really easy suprisingly!!! It was so easy I ended up doing two that day!!! haha

There is a guide on here somewhere which follows it to the tee!!!!

good work, however the strut brace is a waste of time and adds weight (imo). the bay looks as if it needs a colour scheme. thought about painting the brace or battery terminal cover?

I dont know about that it def stiffens up the front end when cornering at speed.

I might go for a carbon fibre theme im thinking, engine cover, black samco hose, CF battery cover maybe????

i have had both front and rear strut braces fitted. didn't seem to do anything at all imo. the only way to really stiffen it up is cage it but its not practical.

Na i dont fancy a cage i want it usable. I dont think the blue & red theme looks to bad at the moment so il see how it goes. Im working on improving the performance at the moment rather than cosmetics then il decide what to do ;) lol
