Cool, is it just a 172 engine or do you have more bits?

High lift cams, gas flow manifold and that air pipe is routed to my fog light. reckon it should be around a 190bhp.

This one wasn't the one which was charshed very soon after it was finished was it?
Is it the phase one it proper wire throttle body or a phase two ie DBW conversion?

You did a good job killing that one.
How difficult is to to wire a phase 2 with its UCh etc into a phase 1 body or do you just plug in all the lights etc and every other electrical bit?

i had to swap everthing. dash loom, uch, loom to rear lights and sender unit, wiper mechanism. but i left the original dash in so my hazard light switch and central locking switch wiring are hanging loose. the rear lights i swapped the pins in the connector around and the front lights i just swapped the connectors over and soldered the wires in. i've got wiring diagrams which made it easy. but it was awkard getting the 172 accelartor pedal to fit securly so i used a couple of zip ties as well

Whats the insurance like on these sleepers?
Are the 2.0l converted clios all orange lol?!

Lol, Sounds like a secure job then. ;)

Err, that would be the antithesis of having a sleeper then wouldn't it?

Besides if he did it all himself it was effectively free.
