A good once over..

  1.2 Dynamique 16v
The good weather warranted some suds, polish & wax..

Technique used:

1. Snow foam (Halfords poor spec pressure washer shampoo)
2. Left it to work for about 5 minutes
3. Cleaned the wheels using an APC (Sharnagloss), wheel brush and a noodle-type wash mitt to agitate
4. Rinsed snow foam off half way round the wheels before the suds dried
5. Washed each panel separately, starting from the roof with Chemical Guys Maxi Suds 2 and a Eurow Lambswool wash mitt (two bucket method)
6. Rinsed the car as and when required..
7. Dried the car off using an I4D lint free drying towel
8. Applied polish to each panel using a shinerama microfibre, and left to cure (Autoglym SRP)
9. Buffed the polish off using a Shinerama microfibre
10. Applied sealant to each panel using shinerama microfibre, and left to cure for approximately 40 minutes (Autoglym EGP)
11. Treated plastics and tyres using sonus bumper and tire gel (very good stuff IMO)
12. Polished the windows using a microfibre towel (Autoglym Fast Glass)
13. Cleaned dash etc with APC (didn't get round to carpets :()

Invisible back wheel? lol

(I also did my mates 1.4 GT TSI, just not as thorough though)

Overall I think it went quite well, although there is some light swirling that I've noticed. Gotta get a machine polisher soon!

I'll be claying the car in the near future too..

Thanks for looking :D

Looks great Tommy, the wheels and bumper suit the car. Keep on top of it. :)

Very nice indeed.

Good work mate.

Thanks guys.

Thanks gally, I'm not 100% happy with the rear bumper to be honest! I think the insert needs to be black. I'll eventually get round to it - keep buying detailing products though!

Looks ace! It's hard to get visible results from that colour, too. Nice work.

Thanks mate. Yeah its a hard to get it to sparkle. I was reasonably happy with how it came out this time. But I've got some Dodo Juice - Light Fantastic which I need to try sometime. Apparently puts more depth/shine into light coloured cars.
