A list of insurers for renewal.

Its renewal time coming up at the end of the month and im currently in the process of phoning around the usual suspects for quotes. Im not wasting my time with confused.com and other such comparison websites but instead im opting to go direct.

So far my list consists of:

Greenlight -
Brentacre -
Sky -
DirectLine -
Aviva -
Adrian Flux -
AA -
Chris Knott -

I think ive covered them all but are there any others that are worth trying that you can think of? Dont bother with mainstream ones like Elephant and KwikFit im only after specialists that will stand a chance of giving me a cheap quote, none of the typical £2k farse

I know you've said no mainstream, but Admiral are always by far the cheapest for me... Im literally talking £100's.

Alot of the above on your list couldnt even compete with them or wouldnt give me a quote.

As above, me and the missus insure both cars with admiral's multicar. Greenlight wanted £700 just for the Leon (I just clocked 5 points at 100mph so they hiked it). Got a like for like quote on that, and also the Golf GTI MK4 as TPFT and it came in at less than £700. You can also choose who is the main driver on each, and decide whose ncb goes on which car, and can both earn ncb too.

Admiral have always been the cheapest for me. However, renewal came through yesterday.....£1700!!!!! So I pop onto their website, get me a new quote......£900. Yes please.

They tried that with me... I rung them up and asked if it was a joke. Straight away they knocked off £600 lol.
(I ended up getting it for £1000 less than their original renewal quote )
