im probably going to sound like a tit, but do clio alloys have to be 4 x 100's?

found a set of alloys for £90 but me nor the owner have an idea what size they are i have a feeling they're 108's though..

yup they need to be 4x100, unless you get adaptors

Check centre bore too-think clio is 60.1mm(do a search to confirm) from memory. If it's smaller you'd need to machine them out to fit the hubs, if bigger you'll need spigot rings.
