A little help with tire pressure on wide rims

  Clio 172 phase 1
Just after a little advice really I'm running 8inch wide wheels with 205/50/15 tyres I'm at 30psi atm handling wise is okay in using falken ziex 914 tyres wich the side wall is soft and the tyres are beyond appalling but that's a diff story im
noticing the outer edge is wearing faster than anything and it's become noticeable theve only done 3k I'm running 2deg neg camber aswell any advice welcome other than change the tyres as im skint atm .... All tracking was done after having the wheels and tires put on so I believe it's a pressure issue pressure is 30psi atm all round

Not run a set-up like that so no first hand knowledge... but I would expect a mild stretch to need more psi to prevent the shoulder being used as part of the tread during hard cornering.

Is this for track, road or what? Where exactly is the wear, like is it a narrow band right on the join between the sidewall and the tread? or just a general area toward the outside edge of the tread? if the former, then increasing psi should help, if the latter then pressure is probably ok and it might be more likely that geo needs altering (or worn parts).

It's for fast road/track I assumed the - camber if get inner wear wich im
prepared for however as I'm seeing mid to outer tread wear im confused as to what's happening the wear is terrible my mate ran conti sport contacts on a Corsa vxr it got driven hard every day and they lasted 4k before showing wear like this so im soo disappointed to see this in falken tyres besides feeling ripped off by ek tyres .... The bad wear wouldn't bother me if I was seeing loads of grip or atleast the wear in the right place ... Do you think 32-34 psi would show an improvement? Or a drop to 28psi I shall be swapping tyres from rear to front tomo to atleast get some money's worth out of them.

Yeh as stated not financely viable at the moment im just starting a new job and won't get payed untill the end of oct and the wage from my previous job will go out on my bills ..... And if do change the tyres and not the pressure could I end up doing the same again

Without seeing exactly where the band of wear is its hard to know if upping pressure is necessary. It will be obvious if its folding over as the wear will be causing a bevel right on the shoulder, but if its just a general wear towar the outer edge then ??? For a road car outer wear is most likely to be down to too much toe-in but obviously this is only a suggestion as you say you have the geo set right... ? Worn joints may mean that toe measures correct static but will be out under load. I'd be looking at toe/worn parts if it was my car. Hope you get it sorted, I hate tyres wearing badly too.

I had Falken's on my Clio 16v and it made me think my Clio handled really badly, but it was just the tyres

they are marketed as a premium when in actual fact they are a budget :dapprove: and a poor budget at that
